Industrial growth plays a vital role in development and prosperity of the nation. Industries today look for technical man power, which is both creative and innovative. According to various surveys done by some private and public bodies in India, graduating engineers lack certain skills useful for employment in the industries. The technical education system must respond to rapidly changing technological needs of modern industries. In order to develop such skills, it is important to reform the current educational system by linking Technical Education with Industry. Interaction between institute and industry is now widely recognized as an essential requirement to train and develop the right kind of technical man power necessary to sustain and promote industrial and economic growth.
The aim of establishing IIPC at SVIT, Vasad is to bring about a proper match between technical education and the needs of industries. We at SVIT are in the process of developing links with industries and improve the quality of technical education. Through this Cell, SVIT and its students will learn about the perspectives and practices in the industries.
IIP Cell has signed an MOU with Gujarat Energy Research & Management Institute (GERMI) to carry out joint R&D and Consultancy work in the area of Non-Conventional Energy sources like Solar, Wind and Geothermal.
