Profile

Dr Bijal J,Talati ,Assistant Professor and Head of the Information Technology Department is associated with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology, Vasad since January 2001. She is serving as the head of Computer Engineering department From July 2008 to October 2018. Prior to SVIT, she worked at D.D.U University for a period of eight months. She graduated from DDIT, Nadiad (1997), pursued her masters' from D.D.U (2007), and earned her PhD in Computer Engineering from C.U.Shah University (2019). She received a grant of Rs.14.53 lac for Computer Graphics laboratory under MODROB scheme. It is under her leadership, the Bachelor of Computer Engineering program at SVIT got accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi, for a period of 3 years from October 2009. She has published 20 research papers in various journals and conferences. She is a member of Computer Society of India, Life member of Indian Society of Technical Education.

    • A Project Entitled “Physical Rehabilitation Using Motion Sensor” guided by Me to Final year Computer Engineering student won “Dewang Mehta IT    Award 2019”
    • Received a grant of Rs. 14,53,000/- from AICTE under MODROB Scheme for modernizing the Computer Graphics Laboratory at Department of Computer Engineering,S.V.I.T   
    • Received certificate of appreciation from MLH Official 2022 season  by contributing in Gujarat's largest Community Hackathon-HackSVIT held from 29th April to 1st May.
