    Vocational education, also called Career and Technical Education (CTE), prepares learners for jobs that are based in practical activities, totally related to a specific trade, occupation or vocation in which the learner participates. Vocational qualifications refer to work-related qualifications. Vocational programs are skill based degree/diploma courses in which the students get the professional trainings from industries as specified by National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF), New Delhi. They are designed to enable the learner to acquire knowledge and skills that are required by the National Occupational Standards (NOS) to be able to perform a particular job.

    For Diploma Courses– Any student who has cleared Std. 10 from recognized board.
    For Degree Courses– Any student who has cleared Std.12 from recognized board in any stream.

    As per NSQF, the students of vocational programs will study 3 days in a week at college for academic component and remaining 3 days in a week they will go to industry and get trained for allied industry skills. That is On the Job Training, which helps them to understand concepts and get experience in the field. This On the Job Training is also aligned with National Occupational Standards (NOS), which specifies and standardizes the skills required for various occupations.

    SVIT has signed MoUs (Memorandum of Understanding) with reputed companies/trainers for On the Job Training (OJT), which will provide flawless and continuous training throughout all the semesters as per standards of NSQF.

    For Software Development sector SVIT has signed MoU with ITC (Information Technology Centre), Mogri, which is renowned training provider in the field since last 30 years. ITC, Mogri is also equipped with state-of-art laboratories, professional trainers, and has well maintained infrastructure. It is also NIELT accredited trainer and AUTOCAD certified multimedia centre. For Automobile Servicing sector SVIT has signed MoU with Amin Bajaj Auto, Anand, which is leading sales and service provider in 2 wheeler, 3 wheeler and 4 wheeler automobiles.

    Yes, all the courses offered at SVIT are approved by AICTE, New Delhi and degree/diploma are awarded by GTU, Ahmedabad.

    Yes. There are ample research opportunities after vocational programs, you can pursue any diploma/graduate/post graduate course. Even you can pursue conventional program after it.
