Profile

Dipesh Shah received his Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Control (2007), Master’s in Applied Instrumentation (2010) from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, India and Ph.D (2018) from Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. From 2019-2020 he worked as a Post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Biological Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. Since 2010 he is working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering Department at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology, Vasad, Gujarat, India. In 2019 and 2020 he was invited as a Visiting Researcher by the Department of Automatic Control at Technical University of Lodz, Poland and Department of Electronics at the Federal University of Technology, Santa Grossa, Brazil. He has published various research papers in peer-reviewed journals such IEEE Transactions, Springer, and Elsevier. He has visited various countries such as Malaysia, China, Turkey, and Canada for oral presentation of his research papers in international conferences. He has also authored a monograph with Springer, book chapters with Taylor and Francis and filed two Indian Patents. He is also a reviewer for various peer-reviewed journals and editorial team member of Insight Automatic Control of Pisco-Med Publications, Singapore. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and active member of ISA technical societies. His research area includes Sliding Mode Control, Networked Control System, Biomedical Instrumentation, Process Control and Industrial Communication Networks.

Current Activities:

Teaching UG Courses in B.E. (Instrumentation and Control, Aeronautical and Civil Engineering Departments), Research Supervisor at GTU and guiding 3 research scholars, Mentoring UG and PG Projects, Handling institute and departmental portfolios such as Training and placement, International cell and R&D.
