In line with this quote, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology was established in the year 1997 with an immaculate vision of Iron-man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, with the leadership of Shree Shivabhai Patel, Shree Chandubhai Patel and Shree Shantibhai Amin to impart excellent education to the youth of our country. The Management of SVIT constantly supports faculty-student- parent community, the main pillars of educational pursuits. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology, Vasad is one of the most promising educational hubs for the streams of engineering, architecture and vocational courses, situated between Vadodara and Anand, on the bank of holy river MAHI. It offers career making opportunities in the disciplines viz. computer, information technology, electronics and communication, instrumentation and control, electrical, mechanical, architecture and civil, including unique course of aeronautical engineering. It also offers Post graduate programs in mechanical, civil, computer, information technology and MCA. “We not only educate, we care too” With this philosophy, the institute aims to impart quality teaching to the aspiring young and technocrat minds in a way that facilitates their overall growth for which the college is equipped with adequate physical and intellectual resources.
In addition to it, the institute also promotes various scholastic & co-scholastic activities and events to catalyze holistic development of the students in the arena of research and development, sports, skills, innovations and start-ups. The institute keeps evolving concrete strategies in providing students, global platform of career opportunities by signing MoUs with number of apex universities-national and international, which provide overseas study scopes. Moreover, the campus delivers an excellent guidance to all the students in line with their future career plans, and supports to strengthen and satisfy the need of sports and other physical wellness of students by encouraging a healthy sports-friendly culture inside the college and also by offering a mental support in case of any emotional emergency to the students in form of counselling by the experts.

Anti-ragging Committee
Ragging has ruined countless innocent lives and careers. Ragging in any form such as making unpleasant noise, disorderly conduct, teasing, abusing or doing any act which causes or likely to cause physical or psychological harm or fear of shame or an embarrassment to the new student, is strictly forbidden. To check the menace of ragging, an anti ragging committee and an anti ragging squad has been constituted at SVIT Vasad. It shall punish those students in accordance with UGC regulations who found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging, actively or passively, or being part of a conspiracy to promote ragging. Anyone found guilty of ragging will be expelled and also liable for prosecution under ragging act which will be result in a minimum punishment with imprisonment for a term.
Anti-ragging committee at SVIT, Vasad strictly follow the anti ragging regulations issued by Honorable Supreme Court guidelines in Civil Appeal No. 887 of 2009.
Strategic plan
The main objectives of anti ragging squad are as follows:
- To aware the students of dehumanizing effect of ragging inherent in its perversity.
- To keep a continuous watch and vigil over ragging so as to prevent its occurrence and recurrence.
- To promptly and stringently deal with the incident of ragging brought to the notice.
- To aware each student to have a self analysis about the evils of ragging that puts the reputation of the institution at stake, shatters psyche of the sufferer and spoils the future of the offender.
- To ensure the campus of SVIT preserves a culture of ragging free environment by sending a clear message that no act of ragging shall be tolerated and any act of ragging not go unnoticed and unpunished.
- To ensures the safety through regular actions like checking of hostels, buses, canteens, classrooms and other places of student congregation, for any incident of ragging.
- Students are advised to make friendly relations with their fellow students and to help fresher or junior student by giving a proper guidance to settle in new educational environment.

About Us
As per the directive of GTU, S.V.I.T has constituted Women’s Development Committee to create a safe working environment for the female fraternity. This cell organizes different programs on women empowerment to fulfill the objective of the cell.

To assist women in achieving full potential in education, career and personal life through academic and intellectual growth and personal empowerment
Mission
To educate them on gender related issues, showcasing their talent, boost their confidence, identify their strength areas and motivate them for having their individuality and identify with their career advancement.
Objective:
- To create social awareness to female staff members and girl students in the college about the relevant issues related to women
- To encourage the members to participate in the activities exclusively meant for their development as women.
- To organize seminars, workshops for creating general awareness and orientation to students, teachers, non-teaching staff for their active and sustained participation in the activities of the committee.
- To organize various types of training programs and create awareness about self-employment schemes for the encouragement of self-reliance among women.
- To promote general well-being of female students, teaching and non-teaching staff for their active and sustained participation in the activities of the Committee.

Introduction
A grievance means a formal complaint about any kind of discontent, dissatisfaction or negative perception among stakeholders. Cell will be functioning to enquire the grievances and suggest the final action to be initiated at the institutional level for the redressal of the same. Any student may approach the committee members, if he/she has any grievance regarding academic and non-academic matters and the committee will take up necessary action.
Objective
- To ensure a fair, impartial and consistent way for redressal of various issues faced by the students.
- To develop a responsive and accountable attitude among the students, thereby maintaining a harmonious atmosphere in the college campus.
- To ensure that grievances are resolved with complete confidentiality.
- To ensure that the views of grievant and respondent are respected and that any party to a grievance is not discriminated or victimised.
Engrieved students can register complain for:
- Complain against physical harassments.
- Complain against mental harassments.
- Complain against teaching staff.
- Complain against administrative staff.
- Accommodation related facilities like hostel complains.
- Transportation complains.

Objective of the Cell
As per the guidelines of UGC, NAAC and the Supreme Court an Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell has been established by SVIT, Vasad to provide a healthy and congenial atmosphere for the staff and students of the College.
The Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell promotes gender equality, removal of gender bias or discrimination, sexual harassment, and other acts of gender-based violence. This Cell assures all the complaints of the students, teaching and non-teaching staffs are treated with dignity and respect and the complaints are maintained confidential.

Introduction
SVIT always emphasis to maintain the momentum of quality consciousness in the Institute. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is one of the apex bodies of the Institute looking after the internal quality assurance system, with appropriate structure and processes, and with enough flexibility to meet the diverse needs of the stakeholders.
Objective
- To plan, guide and monitor Quality Assurance and Quality Enhancement activities of the Institute.
- To channelize and systematize the efforts and measures of the Institution towards academic excellence.
- To develop quality circles in the Institutes. .
Composition
As per the guideline of Gujarat Technological University (GTU) a committee is constituted for IQAC with representative form Management, experts from Industries/Quality Management/Local Community, faculty members and Principal as the Chairperson.

Functions
- Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the Institute,
- Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process,
- Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes,
- Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education,
- Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles,
- Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement,
- Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices,
- Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining /enhancing the institutional quality,
- Development of Quality Culture in the institution.
