“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”--Mahatma Gandhi
In line with this quote, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology was established in the year 1997 with an immaculate vision of Iron-man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, with the leadership of Shree Shivabhai Patel, Shree Chandubhai Patel and Shree Shantibhai Amin to impart excellent education to the youth of our country. The prime moto, to achieve excellence, with the medium of education, as it is the most powerful weapon one can use to change the world is kept at the highest priority by SVIT.
Invention and innovation have been the driving wheels of SVIT, be in the field of academic, governance, technical research and development, students guidance and propagation of new ideas. Conception by visionaries and experts is duly implemented. In line with the need of time, SVIT focuses on educational reforms to accommodate modern needs and outcomes of education. Going beyond the classrooms and thinking beyond syllabus is in genes of institute which continuously strives to remain relevant and professional-oriented.
To fulfil the motive behind imparting quality technical education, the institute functions through various innovative cells such as, Research & Development Cell, International Cell, Industry institute Partnership Cell, Training & Placement Cell, Entrepreneurship Cell and Women Development Cell to make students self-reliant (ATMANIRBHAR) and train them in a manner, that makes them ever ready for challenges.
The Management of SVIT constantly supports faculty-student- parent community, the main pillars of educational pursuits. The traditional classroom is judiciously blended with vocational-based practical teaching practice, to make it more result oriented, sound and effective with the support of diverse and well- qualified faculties drawn from academic institutes and industrial houses of high repute is an intellectual strength of SVIT as the working philosophy of SVIT revolves around knowledge which is the currency of 21st century.
The institute also interests in creating and inculcating technical knowledge in the welfare and development of society. As a gesture of gratitude and returning back to society, SVIT does social services and welfare activities under well-established National Service Scheme (NSS) unit, which undertakes the various activities like blood donation camps, tree plantation, awareness on water conservation, serving to differently-abled children, adult and rural educational extension work and many more activities of social significance.
Finally, I extend my regard to all stakeholders by conveying that, “Study because knowledge is power. Study because it can never take it away from you. Study because it enhances you. Study because it grows you. Study because it can alter the course of your life.”
Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn. -Benjamin Franklin
