About the Department

Rapid changes in technology have given central role to play, to the applied sciences, in engineering and technology. Any innovation in engineering technology uses fundamental principles of science

The department of Applied Sciences and Humanities teaches and boosts practical aspects of Applied Sciences and Humanities to frame a concrete foundation as a part of the engineering education.

The department grooms’ students for core engineering branches by indoctrinating them in the basic sciences of physics, mathematics and humanities in foundation year, i.e. the first year of engineering.

In addition to above this department teaches higher mathematics and fundamentals of research to the post graduate students of various engineering branches.

Applied Mathematics

Mathematics is an integral part of any engineering. It is indispensable assistant to solve engineering problems. Considering its importance in engineering, this department have highly qualified staff for this subject that impart practical knowledge of Applied Mathematics to undergraduate and post-graduate students of various engineering disciplines.

Applied Physics

Applied Physics is the elementary requirement of many engineering courses. It plays vital role in understanding basic principles of engineering. This department faculties prepare all engineering discipline students of first and second semester for this necessary fundamental knowledge. The department has well equipped physics laboratory..

English

In today’s fast changing era, it is essential for an engineer to possess strong communication skill to satisfy employers’ requirements. This department faculties teach students effective Communication skills, technical communication and technical report writing. Department has language laboratory. Students receive training in written and verbal communication essential to succeed in the work place. This subject nourishes the students overall and make them confident.

Management and Engineering Economics

This department faculties impart a sound understanding of how the economy works because knowledge of economics and management is critical for the success of an engineer and the company for which they are working. With the study of different terminologies of Economics and management, engineers hone conceptual skills such as problem-solving skills, critical thinking and analytical thinking.

Vision

To elevate students for the further quest of technological knowledge by creating sound base and succor other technological department to procure their objectives.

Mission

  • To teach and boost practical aspects of Applied Sciences and Humanities to frame a concrete foundation as a part of the engineering education.
  • To groom students for core engineering branches by indoctrinating them in the basic sciences of physics, mathematics and humanities in foundation year
  • To encourage students to be socially responsible good human beings and transmit burgeon of leadership qualities
  • To encourage for creativity and innovation through example based teaching-learning process, imparted in the most simple and comprehensible way

Language Lab 1 and Lab2

The main objectives of the language laboratory is to enable students of first year (SEM- I, II & III) to progress on their language proficiency by using iTell Language Lab and it promises to enhance professional training by performing activities based on L S R W. The laboratory has two software named Orell and E-cafe which made the lab Digital one. The exposure of Language Lab is the state-of-the-art language learning solution that increases opportunities for students to personalize learning and enhance their communication, and also test their skills as and when necessary. The majority of the current syllabus is taught with the help of the software where students are actively participating in learning process.

Physics Lab

Experiments performed in the Physics laboratory play a significant role in understanding the concepts taught in the theory. Physics laboratory is used by students of sem 1 & 2 of all engineering branches. Main aim of Physics laboratory is to familiarize students with experimental apparatus, the scientific method, and methods of data analysis so that they will have some idea of the inductive process by which the ideas were originated. Laboratory is equipped with all required experiments suggested by university. Students are doing experiments and taking make careful experimental observations and think about it and draw conclusions from such data.
