Profile

Dr. Sekar Prakash Saladi, is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, SVIT, Vasad, Gujarat. He completed his Ph.D. from SVNIT, Surat, in the year 2015. He has 13 years of teaching experience and 7 years industrial experience. His research area includes protective coatings for high temperature applications, high temperature corrosion, wear, erosion, thermal spray technology, laser cladding, carbonaceous materials, incremental sheet metal forming, friction stir welding, additive manufacturing etc. He has published 15 research papers in various International and National Journals and Conference proceedings. He has received research grants from Department of Science and Technology, GUJCOST, Gujarat. He is reviewer for many reputed SCI journals.

Current Activities:

Teaching UG/PG Courses in Mechanical Engineering, Institute level Training and Placement Officer, guiding Ph.D. students under GTU.

Specialization Areas:

Materials and Manufacturing Engineering, Surface Engineering, Protective Coatings for High Temperature Applications, Corrosion, Wear.

    • Submitted a research proposal entitled “Development of Novel Thermal Spray Coatings with Nano Carbonaceous and Rare Earth Reinforcements for Industrial Applications” as Principal Investigator to Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST), for Rs. 48.5 lacs (Cleared TAC presentation).
