Dr. Mala H Mehta is working as an Assistant Professor in the Information Technology Department, SVIT, Vasad since August 2005. She has completed her Doctor of Philosophy in CE/IT Engineering from Gujarat Technological University. She has completed her Master of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Gujarat Technological University. She has also competed her Master of Technology in Information Technology from Karnataka state open university. She is having more than 18 years of experience in teaching at Under Graduate and Post Graduate level. Prior to SVIT, she worked at Encircle/Amtech Solutions PVT. LTD., Vadodara for a month. She has published more than 20 papers in various National/International Conferences and Journals. She has guided more than 90 projects at Under Graduate level and more than 5 Dissertation at Post Graduate level. She has attended more than 50 seminars, workshops, training programs and conferences. She has also organized two short term training programs for the faculties and students. She has given duties as External Examiner at reputed Universities. She has received GUJCOST grant of 12,000/- Rs and 15000/- respectively for two programs. She is a Life member of Indian Society of Technical Education. She extends her expertise as a reviewer in many national and international conferences. Her area of interest is Data base management system, Data Mining, Evolutionary computing, soft computing and Big Data Analytics.
